Sacramento, California, November 17, 2014 – Mark Anthony Germanos, Social Media Director at YourSEOWizard, is pleased to announce the new website at http://idealcustomer.net. This website promotes Attract Your Ideal Customer: A Workbook for Making More Money (ISBN 978-0983576914). The Attract Your Ideal Customer workbook offers three visible benefits to readers: 1) You will attract more ideal, high-quality customers who want to buy what you are selling even before they find you, 2) You will spend less time on your marketing and 3) You will make more money.

The more you know about your ideal customer, the more able you are to attract her and get her to call you.

The more you know about your ideal customer, the more able you are to attract her and get her to call you.

This website offers visitors several options. They can purchase a printed version or downloadable PDF version. They can also download a sample exercise: In 15 words or less, why should I do business with you? at no cost. This free download helps you clarify your branding.

“Mark Anthony Germanos has written a practical, no-nonsense guide to using Facebook. It is practical, yet mind-stretching, if you want to market yourself on the biggest social media outlet in the world. It is a quick read but you could spend days delving into specific tips and tricks that can help you brand yourself for virtually nothing to millions of people. Particularly helpful are the worksheets such as the Ideal customer persona and What do you think I do for a living? worksheets. You cannot afford not to buy this book!” Michael Soon Lee, MBA, CSP, Author, Cross-Cultural Selling for Dummies.

“We’re not living in 2005 anymore,” warns Germanos, “you have to be good at what you do and your marketing has to be great. If so, you get to stay in business. If not, you become a statistic. Learn how to attract your ideal customer before it’s too late.” Attract Your Ideal Customer: A Workbook for Making More Money is now available at http://idealcustomer.net and Amazon.com.

Christopher Gill: Attract Your Ideal Customer…fascinating

Glowing review of Attract Your Ideal Customer

Ideal customer 3D book cover web croppedIn Attract Your Ideal Customer: A Workbook for Making More Money, author Mark Anthony Germanos offers a new and refreshing approach to social media marketing and actually getting to know your customers at a level beyond the impersonal data of demographic numbers. He sets forth that specific targeting rather than the blanket approach to an age-group, a gender, or a group of a certain income or educational level not only yields superior results, but affords a personal touch that is more likely to attract new customers and retain old ones.

Germanos boldly deconstructs the conventional approach to marketing by taking aim at what he calls the “pain point,” or the problem a business or company seeks to solve. His unflinching claim is that internet marketing is the countermeasure to the debilitating symptoms of the pain point, and he adeptly lends support to this claim in each chapter of this intriguing book.

Numerous worksheets inserted throughout the book offer a practical application toward developing a greater understanding of this unique and groundbreaking system. This is one of the most innovative approaches that I’ve seen in a long time, and I am eager to test-drive some of these fascinating and well-grounded theories.

Is an ideal customer definition better than a target market

Defining an ideal customer can help your new business more than merely defining a target market

Perhaps you are starting your business, reentering the workforce, or taking over marketing responsibilities at work. You have a target market. This ideal customer persona further refines your target market.

The more you know about your ideal customer, the more able you are to attract her and get her to call you.

The more you know about your ideal customer, the more able you are to attract her and get her to call you.

For example, suppose you just purchased an assisted-living home. This is a place where loved ones take their parents to live when their parents can no longer live at home or care for themselves.

  • Your target market may be a 40-60-year-old woman in Northern California. She works for a large healthcare provider. Applying this to your ideal customer persona, you can add What does she think of my profession? Her parents raised her. She is returning the favor. She does not need you or the service you offer, she thinks.
  • Your target market earns $100,000 a year or more. She is a vice president. Applying this to your ideal customer persona, you can add, How much decision-making authority does she have? She must be great when making decisions and getting others’ buy-in. After all, she’s a vice president.
  • Your target market travels internationally at least 10 days per month. She always carries her passport. Applying this to your ideal customer persona, you can add, What is her pain point, and how can you solve it? She feels guilty about her travel and leaving parents home alone so often. She needs a place where Mom can feel safe, warm, and loved every day. Your ideal customer cannot provide that. Can you?

Maybe your ideal customer is already a customer

Perhaps you are already running a business or doing the marketing, but the whole Internet marketing concept is something new to you. A friend handed you http://idealcustomer.net and told you to read it cover-to-cover. You want better results. You want to spend less. Newspaper, magazine, and phone book ads are not generating a strong enough return. You saw ideal customer in the title. This sounds appealing.

Perhaps your ideal customer is already a customer. Look at the customers you attract. What common traits do they share? Apply the 80/20 rule: 80% of your income comes from 20% of your customers. Ask these additional questions about the 20% that keeps you in business:

  • What is her gender?
  • What is her age range?
  • How much education does she have?
  • What does she do in her free time?
  • Where does she get her information?

Create a composite. You can even give her (or him) a name. You are so fortunate that you already have people on your customer list. Find the traits they have in common. You are attracting those traits. They are part of your ideal customer persona.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that I am referring to your ideal customer in the feminine. That is intentional. Most of my customers have a woman owner or as my contact. If your ideal customer is a man, change the gender.

Sacramento SEO Pro says: Nobody knows everything…how often does your SEO guy go to conferences?

When this post appears at http://cameronparkcomputer.com/blog, I will be at a conference on search engine optimization. I spend a lot of time here bragging about my SEO successes and the successes I generate for my clients. I’m smart enough to do this and smart enough to realize I need to sharpen my saw very often. That is especially true in this rapidly changing profession. Let me ask you, how often does your Internet marketing guy attend conferences or get retraining?

  1. Once a month?
  2. Once a quarter?
  3. Once a year?
  4. Once a lifetime?

Yes, I am serious about #4. I know some people who say they can do this because they read a book or viewed a seven-minute YouTube video. I’m afraid that doesn’t cut the cake. I know some who get results on the SEO front, but their grammar is so awful that they actually embarrass themselves. They must have spent all their time studying Internet marketing and therefore never paid attention in high school English class. Sad. Sad. Sad.

Next time someone approaches you about doing their Internet marketing, ask how often they attend conferences, who they view as mentors and what success stories they can share. You may be in for a big surprise.

How to increase your Facebook page visibility

Thousands, if not millions of Facebook pages have the wrong visibility settings. You can update your settings to allow international visitors of all ages. You do that through Facebook’s Manage Permissions

box. Here’s how:

  1. Log into your Facebook account
  2. Go to the professional page you want to manage
  3. Choose Edit Page > Manage Permissions
  4. Uncheck Page Visibility (yes, the verbiage is confusing here)
  5. Leave Country Restrictions blank
  6. Set Age Restrictions to Anyone (13+)
  7. Choose Save Changes

Some people will say they want to restrict their personal information. I can subscribe to that. If that is your concern, lock down the visibility settings on your personal profile. This article is for your professional page…make sure the visibility is wide open.

Sacramento SEO Pro advises: Internet Marketing Return on Investment is cumulative

At a recent conference, one of the participants asked: “How do you measure Return on Investment with social media campaigns”? I feel that question is too narrow. You measure Return on Investment with all your marketing operations, combined. This is your cumulative Internet marketing campaign. Here’s why I say that, and you can send that hate e-mail to mark@cameronparkcomputer.com.

1. Your logo is part of your Internet marketing campaign. You paid someone to create a logo and save it in varied formats. This would include high resolution for print and embroidery as well as low resolution for web sites.

2. Your Internet domain is part of your Internet marketing campaign. If you have registered a domain and paid someone to host it, you incurred an expense. It is an investment and is designed to help you attract more business.

3. Your web site is part of your Internet marketing campaign. You wrote and gathered content for a web site. This would include original content, testimonials, pictures, movies and audio recordings. You may have created the site yourself or paid someone else to create it. If you created your site yourself, you invested your time and energy in this project. If you paid someone else to create it, you hired that person to provide their time and energy. You also wrote a check.

4. Your social media presence is part of your Internet marketing campaign. You’ve spent time learning Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn. These services all ask you to create a profile that summarizes who you are and why people should do business with you. You can get up and running with these three services at no cost, but your time does have a value.

5. Finally, your blogging and pay-per-click operations are part of your Internet marketing campaign. Blogging helps you establish credibility by showing what you know to everyone who finds your blog. Blogging helps make you attractive to Google. You can update a blog much quicker and easier than you can update a web site. I can create a blog entry by sending an e-mail from my iPhone. Anyone out there want to edit your web site from your phone?
Now let me ask, which one variable can you measure when calculating your Return on Investment? It’s a trick question. You cannot measure just one and show causality between one variable and an increase/decrease in business. Too many factors come into play. You have a cumulative investment. When you measure how much you’ve invested in your Internet marketing campaigns, make sure you factor in all the variables I mention (above).
